Workshop Description: Join Ajay Maharjan in Chobhar for an exclusive workshop where you’ll get a rare chance to photograph the sacred Charya Dance up close. With two dancers in full traditional attire, this session offers the perfect setting for creative portraiture and cultural storytelling. Ajay will guide beginners through practical lighting techniques and simple compositional methods to enhance every frame. This hands-on workshop is ideal for anyone looking to refine their lighting skills while capturing Nepal’s sacred heritage.
Instructor Background: Ajay Maharjan is a seasoned freelance photographer specializing in portrait, street, culture and travel photography with a strong photojournalistic background. He is a co-founder of "PhotoWalkers Nepal," that lead an open weekly photowalk platform, fostering a community where photographers engage in challenges, travel, and mutual learning. Additionally, he serves as an Admin for "Nepalese in Photography (NIP)," a group dedicated to nurturing and inspiring emerging photographers. He has more than a decade of experience and has worked for the World Health Organization Nepal and has also collaborated with various reputable agencies such as UNHCR, UNFPA, ICIMOD, and the Asia Foundation.
