Workshop Description: Discover the art of capturing real, unscripted moments in our Street Photography Workshop. Designed for beginners and enthusiasts, this session will cover the fundamentals of street photography, developing a photographer’s mindset, understanding camera technicalities, seeing and using light effectively, applying composition rules, and confidently working in public spaces. You will also learn about photography ethics, responsible storytelling, and common mistakes to avoid, helping you build confidence and create more compelling everyday images.

Instructor background: Ajay Maharjan is a seasoned freelance photographer specializing in portrait, street, culture and travel photography with a strong photojournalistic background. He is a co-founder of "PhotoWalkers Nepal," that lead an open weekly photowalk platform, fostering a community where photographers engage in challenges, travel, and mutual learning. Additionally, he serves as an Admin for "Nepalese in Photography (NIP)," a group dedicated to nurturing and inspiring emerging photographers. He has more than a decade of experience and has worked for the World Health Organization Nepal and has also collaborated with various reputable agencies such as UNHCR, UNFPA, ICIMOD, and the Asia Foundation.
